We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings, complete as the revelation of God's will and salvation, and the supreme and final authority in all manners in which they speak.
We believe in one God, who is the creator and sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that these are equal in every divine perfection and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the world of creation, providence, and redemption.
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God's eternal Son, and has precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections as God the Father and the Holy Spirit. We believe further that He is not only true God but true man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We also believe in His sinless life, His substitutionary atonement, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, His priestly intercession on behalf of His people, and His personal, visible, premillennial return from heaven.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, his personality, and His work in regeneration, sanctification, and preservation. His ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and implement Christ's work of redeeming the lost and empowering the believer for godly living and service.
We believe that God created man, male and female, in the image of God and free from sin. We further believe man is a sinner by nature and choice and is therefore spiritually dead. We also believe that those who repent of sin and trust Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We further believe that this salvation is based upon the sovereign grace of God and was purchased by Christ on the cross, and is received by man through faith, apart from any human merit, works, or ritual. We further believe salvation results in righteous living, good works, and proper social concern.
We believe that the church is the spiritual body, composed of all persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit, of which Christ is the head. We believe that this body expresses itself in local assemblies whose members have been immersed upon a credible confession of faith and have associated themselves for worship, for evangelism, and for service. We believe the ordinances of the local church are believer's baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper. We also believe in the inter-dependence of local churches and the mutual submission of believers to each other in love.
We believe that the only Scriptural marriage is the joining of one man and one woman as described in Genesis Chapters 1 and 2.
We believe that each local church is self-governing in function, and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority. We further believe that every human being is directly responsible to God in matters of faith and life and that each should be free to worship God according to the dictates of his conscience.
We believe that the supreme task of every believer is to glorify God in his life; that his conduct should be blameless before the world; that he should be a faithful steward of his possessions; and that he should seek to realize for himself the full stature of maturity in Christ.

Pastor Alec grew up in a pastor’s home in Western Maine. Brianna grew up in a Christian home in Standish, Maine. Alec graduated with his Associates in Aviation Science from Nashua Community College in 2013. After graduation, Alec started his career at the Portland Jetport in Portland, Maine as an aircraft maintenance technician, where he still works today as an Assistant Director of Maintenance. Brianna began her career in Nursing and has enjoyed many great opportunities to interact with patients. She attended St. Joseph’s College of Maine and received her Bachelor of Nursing in Science degree in 2014. Ten days later, Alec and Brianna got married.
Growing up, Alec always had a desire for ministry and felt the Lord leading him to mission aviation. Alec became a licensed private pilot in 2015 and started conducting mini mission flights across the state. In 2016, Alec and Brianna started attending West Buxton Baptist and focused on serving wherever the Lord led them. Alec credits the members of WBBC for encouraging him to serve at a local mission aviation camp in 2016. In 2017, Alec, along with five other board members, founded the Southern Maine based Mission Aviation Mission, Propelling the Gospel. Alec began serving on the deacon board and served as the pastoral intern under the mentorship of Pastor Trent while also attending the South African Theological Seminary, where he received his Bachelor of Theology Degree in early 2022.
In 2022, the deacons saw the need for an Associate Pastor, and Alec was installed in August of 2022. Moving forward, Alec will be focusing on assisting Pastor Trent, encouraging all the ministries of the church, occasionally preaching, and focusing on the young adults by hosting monthly dinners for young married couples and teaching Sunday school for the young adult singles who have graduated high school. He is also enrolled at the Colorado Biblical University where he is seeking to achieve his Master’s in Biblical Education degree in the next few years.
Alec is also a Registered Maine Guide and seeks to take youth outdoors to enjoy Creation and point young people to the Creator through the sport of hunting and fishing. Alec and Brianna have two boys and one girl.
